Since 2008, Helping Hands and Horses has been serving adults
and children with a variety of disabilities in the greater St. Louis area free of charge.

Our therapeutic horseback riding program started with 3 horses, 3 volunteers and 5 families one day a week. Today, we have 16 horses, over 150 volunteers  and serve 100 families between Wednesdays and Thursdays.

We expanded our offerings in 2018 to include a Veterans Program.

Our Special Olympic Equestrian Program began Spring 2019.  Special Olympic Riders learn to identify tack, horse anatomy and learn routines that are performed during regional competition.

All programs offer a fall and spring 10-week session filled with riding therapy and goal driven lessons within large indoor and covered outdoor lighted arenas and a sensory course as well as acres of peaceful trails to ride.

Volunteers also enjoy learning and/or improving their horsemanship skills as they experience the tranquility of the ranch.
